Here’s an extended preview of the Melrose Place remake that will air on The CW in the fall.
What’s good: The re-appearance of Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro) and Sydney Andrews (Laura Leighton), especially in the scene where it’s clear Sydney is up to her old blackmailing tricks with Michael.
What’s not-so-hot: The nearly 25-year-old Ashlee Sinpson-Wentz’s Violet is supposed to be four months out of high school, i.e. 18-ish? That’s as kookie as 26-year-old Ian Ziering playing high school student Steve on Beverly Hills 90210, an idea that became less and less believable the faster Ziering’s hairline receded, but which was still more believable than Jessica Simpson’s sister looks playing an 18-year-old.
What do you think? Are you at all excited about this Melrose reboot?

From Twentieth Century [...]

The DVDs include some fun, family-friendly ‘toons (like A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, on Blu-ray!) and the BlogHer goodies — more fun stuff, given to [...]
There’s a scene where (Da Maniac) takes a helmet out of his station wagon, and it has barbed wire all over it, and I inadvertently hit Charlie in the groin with it.
