– Bummer news about The Reeg. Live with Regis and Kelly co-host Regis Philbin will be taking at least a month off, beginning Dec. 1, to recover from hip surgery, which he needs after falling while filming a series of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire specials. Here’s hoping Anderson Cooper, Jeff Probst or Kelly Ripa‘s own hubby, Mark Consuelos fill in for Reeg, and not the grating Howie Mandel.

– Is it possible that 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin will be an Oscar nominee during the very ceremony he’s going to be co-hosting? Could be

Oprah‘s personal chef, Art Smith, is getting his own TV show. Only question: How did it take this long?

Paula Deen is a ham, and now she’s been hit with one. Don’t worry, she’s a tough bird.

– EW.com reports that those rumors of Drea de Matteo‘s Desperate Housewives demise have been greatly exaggerated.

– FX has the rights to air the Twilight movies.

– YouTube.com has a peek at some Glee casting sessions.

– Sure, you can tune in for TBS’ annual 24-hour A Christmas Story marathon on Christmas Eve, but if you’re near Kansas City, you can also see A Christmas Story: The Musical.

– There was Mall Cop the movie, and now there’ll be Mall Cops, the TLC reality series. Won’t be the same without Kevin James.

– And tonight in primetime: G4 airs its annual X-Play Holiday Buyers Guide (6PM ET); Suze Orman says “Let’s get fiscal” to The Biggest Loser contestants (8PM, NBC); Dancing With the Stars announces a winner for season nine (9PM, ABC); the season two premiere of How the Earth Was Made delves into the creation of the Grand Canyon (9PM, History); Justin Bobby chases – and catches – Kristin in Las Vegas on The Hills (10PM, MTV); Alicia meets Peter’s mistress on The Good Wife (10PM, CBS); and in the penultimate Sons of Anarchy episode of season two (10PM, FX), Jax and Clay plot revenge against Zobelle, but despite everything he’s done, they still may be underestimating him.
