Key & Peele – Is it the new Chappelle’s Show? Eh … that’s more the product of lazy reviewers. It’s not Chappelle’s Show … sample joke from the titular comedians, while discussing their interracial backgrounds: “We sound whiter than Mitt Romney in a snow storm.”  But there are some funny concepts, especially a premiere episode skit in which two married men (stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele) are deathly afraid of their wives, and take great pains to make sure the women don’t hear them lying to each other about how they stand up to their spouses.

Worth flipping to during commercials:
– It’s the 4th season premiere of Tosh.0 (10PM, Comedy Central);
– Tonight’s challenge involves a trampoline on The Biggest Loser (8PM, NBC);
– Daffy suspects Porky Pig is a murderer on The Looney Tunes Show (8:30PM, Cartoon Network);

Justified – Oh, that Boyd (Walton Goggins). How long into last week’s season premiere did it take you to realize what he’d intended to do with his fight with Raylan (Timothy Olyphant)? Tonight, he tries to make a meeting with Dickie Bennett (Jeremy Davies) happen, while Raylan tries to make sure it (and therefore Dickie’s death) doesn’t. Meanwhile, a former colleague of Raylan’s pops into the office, and she looks a lot like Carla Gugino, who, of course, played the titular character in another Elmore Leonard adaptation TV series.

The Looney Tunes Show – Bugs has a Nobel Prize, but no shelf to put it on … anthropomorphic bunny problems.

9PM | WE – 2ND SEASON PREMIERE
Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? – Melissa hosts an intervention to convince Joan not to get more plastic surgery. She may need the TLC people for this one.

Shipping Wars – Marc hauls a 1928 train caboose that is in a very fragile state. Well, he’ll haul it assuming it doesn’t fall apart before he can even load it onto his truck.

Justified – Sure, Mags is gone, but there is still so much to love about the new season, including a throwdown between Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) and frienemy Boyd (Walton Goggins), a new Detroit mobster (Neal McDonough) who comes to Harlan to start trouble, another local businessman (Mykelti Williamson) who may end up making Mags look like a bunny rabbit, a surprisingly domestic-minded Raylan and a new, and hilarious, set of BFFs: Dickie Bennett (Jeremy Davies) and Dewey Crowe (Damon Herriman).

Glee – It’s the Nene Leakes episode, in which the Real Housewives of Atlanta star guests as swim coach Roz Washington. Also, Will plans to propose to Emma.

Texas Multi Mamas – On back-to-back episodes, Stephanie and her husband sign papers for their new home, but Stephanie tells Candace that her marriage is in trouble.

White Collar – In the midseason premiere, Neal and Peter have to work together to retrieve the kidnapped Mrs. Peter, a.k.a. Elizabeth, a.k.a. Tiffani Thiesen.

This spring, TVScreener.com was honored to become a member of the Broadcast Television Journalists Association, an offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association. The BFCA hosts the annual Critics Choice Movie Awards that air on VH1, and our TV group will dole out our own set of accolades, via the first Critics Choice Television Awards.

The TV awards ceremony will be hosted by So You Think You Can Dance star Cat Deeley on June 20 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and VH1.com will stream them live (June 20, 3:30PM ET), while on June 22, the ceremony airs on TV  at the ReelzChannel (8PM ET).

And here, our first class of nominees. I think it’s a great mix of shows, including some truly fantastic series and actors and actresses who have been overlooked at other TV awards ceremonies. I am particularly thrilled that we have nominated It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Charlie Day, one of the funniest guys on TV, and one who’s still flying a bit under the radar, for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, as well as shows and stars of shows like The Middle, Sons of Anarchy, Raising Hope, Archer and Justified, all so deserving of being called out as among the best TV has to offer.

Justified – The finale of what has been a fantastic, Emmy-worthy sophomore season is called “Bloody Harlan,” and if you think that refers to battle, right you are. Tensions between Boyd (Walt Goggins) and the Bennetts reach a boiling point, and pretty much everyone in town has a weapon in his or her hand. And, though Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) and Winona (Natalie Zea) were planning to skip town and leave the craziness behind, a missing person case drags the lawman back into the thick of the war, which is going to end with more than one major character taking a bullet.

American Idol – It’s “Now and Then” week, meaning the final five will sing one current song and one song from the 1960s and that we will see what a baby James Durbin looked like.

The Middle – A day to herself sounds like the perfect Mother’s Day present to Frankie, but, of course, that doesn’t go as planned.

Survivor – Boston Rob’s team has to vote out one of its own, while a four-person battle unfolds at Redemption Island.

Spouse vs. House – Couples who are feeling a little skint get everything they need to perform some nifty renovations in this new home makeover series. The catch? One half of the couple has to move out temporarily and trust the other half to do all the work.

– The final four are in Morocco, where they have to balance tea trays on their heads while dancing on America’s Next Top Model (9PM, The CW);
– There may be a serial killer on the loose in a North Carolina mountain town on Criminal Minds (9PM, CBS);
– A torpedo and a truck full of wine are among the experiments on MythBusters (9PM, Discovery);
– The team is hired to protect a copy, the only copy, of The Goonies movie sequel on Breaking In (9:30PM, Fox);
– Cooper and Fickler are caught up in the case of a death row inmate who’s demanding a retrial based on Fickler’s evidence on Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (10PM, CBS);
– Sure, they can whip up fancy food, but how will the Top Chef Masters (10PM, Bravo) do when they have to work the drive-thru of a fast food joint?;
