It’s an inside job! What better way to wile away the eight months until 24‘s eighth season premieres than playing Jack Bauer yourself, with the new CLUE: 24 edition board game?

The plot: The U.S. is about to be hit by a major attack, and it’s going to originate from inside the CTU office in Los Angeles. Your mission, as board game Jack: Ferret out who your traitorous colleague is from amongst the six agents locked down inside CTU. Jack, the Director of Field Ops, is locked outside, and must communicate with the agents locked inside, via his PDA (that magic Jack PDA!).

Green, Plum, Colonel Mustard and the other suspects in the original Clue game are replaced with Audrey Raines, Bill Buchanan, Chloe O’Brian, Mike Doyle, Nadia Yassir and Tony Almeida in the 24 version, and players have to figure out which one is the mole, what kind of attack is being planned (represented by nine pewter tokens, including an airport tower, a CTU badge, a bus, a power plant, a Wall Street sign and a satellite) and from where in CTU it will originate.

So, think you can expose the enemy and save the world, just like Jack Bauer? All you have to do to find out is leave a comment on this post, telling me who’s your favorite 24 character (besides Jack), and an e-mail address or Web/blog link way to reach you, and you may be a winner.

Good luck, my fellow Jack Bauer devotees!

TV List o’ the Day: 8 Ways to Party Like It’s the ’24’ Season Finale Tonight (‘Cuz It Is)

I’m ridonkulously excited to see just how this season of 24 will wrap up tonight (8PM ET, Fox), though, of course, the season finale also means the kick-off of a new seven-month wait for season eight. Glass half full … glass half empty.

Will Jack be able to save Kim? Is there possibly another twist that will serve to make Tony not the bad guy he sure seems to be? Will Jack and Girl Jack, a.k.a. Renee, share a smooch? And will Jack Bauer, terrorist-thwarting hero, finally meet his match in the devastating bioweapon that has infected him?

By the way, be careful what you read at this point … I just accidentally stumbled upon a Website that claims to have spoilers for tonight’s episode. I surfed away quickly before I read anything, and no, I’m not going to give you the link. Resist the urge people. It’s a mere few hours away … why would you wanna spoil it now?!

Anyhoo, as we head into tonight’s season seven finale – and the kick-off of the countdown to season eight – 8 ways to celebrate the TV goodness that is 24

1. Read Mary Lynn Rajskub‘s (Chloe O’Brian) Twitter posts, which frequently includes comments on 24. A post from today: “24 is going to blow the lid off! And in 2 wks we start season 8!”

2. Read 24 director Jon Cassar‘s Twitter posts, which also includes comments on 24, his support for Kiefer Sutherland during the ridiculous HeadbuttGate and Cassar’s awesome photos, including personal photography you can purchase at his Website.

3. Ditto Annie Wersching, a.k.a. Renee, a.k.a. Girl Jack, on Twitter.

4. Buy the 24 Clue board game or come back to TVScreener.com tomorrow for your chance to win a copy!

5. Pre-order 24 season seven on DVD – it comes out tomorrow! How’s that for instant gratification?

6. Read why “Jack Bauer Is God.” Reason 104: “Jack Bauer arm once wrestled Superman. The stipulations were the loser had to wear his underwear on the outside of his pants.”

7. Visit Agent Aaron Pierce‘s (Glenn Morshower) MySpace page. PS – Tony Almeida‘s soul patch has its own MySpace page.

8. Speaking of Mr. Almeida, read Carlos Bernard‘s Q+A at TVGuide.com, where he reveals that there will be a showdown between Jack and Tony in tonight’s finale.

’24’: Another Game-Changing Season Finale?

There’s that phrase again: “game-changing.” It’s the way almost every producer has described his or her finales this TV season, and it sounds like Monday’s seventh season finale of 24 (8PM ET, Fox) will be no different.

From star Kiefer Sutherland: “You see a real, monumental shift in (Jack Bauer)” in the season finale. Considering that Jack , who, as of this week’s penultimate episode, is dying, has been betrayed by best pal Tony (Carlos Bernard) and now has to betray new pal and co-worker Renee, a.k.a. Girl Jack (Annie Wersching) to save his daughter Kim (Elisha Cuthbert), it’s not tough to see how this could end up being Jack’s most emotional finale since he sat in his car crying after being blackmailed into killing his co-worker Ryan Chappelle (Paul Schulze) and having to chop his partner’s hand off in season three.

Kiefer, who was on the red carpet in Los Angeles Tuesday night for a screening of the finale, also gave this hint about season eight, which begins filming at the end of May and will be set in New York City (yay!): “I think, maybe, five scripts (have been finished), so I can’t tell you too much. But where it’s starting right now is probably the most believable scenario that I feel we’ve ever done before.”

And about those recent legal woes, a.k.a. Headbuttgate, Sutherland was mum, but real-life pal and co-star Bernard told reporters, “Kiefer is one of my best friends, and he’s a great guy. I’ve been around the world with him in bars and social situations, and I’ve never seen anything close to this happening. He always bends over backwards to be courteous with people and to be generous with his time.”

Whhhhy, Tony, Whyyy?

OK, it’s admittedly far-fetched, but those 24 promos Fox is airing, the ones that say the biggest twist of the season is still to come … could they possibly mean that Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) isn’t the big baddie he was revealed to be?

Tony’s betrayal of pals Jack, Chloe and Bill (R.I.P.) was a jolt, but let’s remember, the clock did not stop ticking after Tony killed Larry Moss … could that mean Larry’s not really dead? Is he, and Tony, part of some even bigger plot? Maybe a plot to draw out the cabal of Jonas Hodges-aligned bigwigs who have planned the homeland terrorist attacks in season seven?

Or do I need to just go ahead and face the fact that our beloved Tony is one bad motherfella now? Your thoughts please.

Never miss a post!
