Just look at the sweater: It’s the most deliciously hideous holiday sweater – or, in this case, hybrid-holiday sweater, ever.
It needs to be said once again: Justin Kirk so deserves an Emmy nod for his role as Weeds‘ Andy Botwin.

- Here’s hoping Jimmy Fallon really can pull off a Saved by the Bell reunion tonight. And PS – So happy Zach Morris clipped the ‘do.
- Is Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) alive on Lost? Okay, so then why’s he playing foosball in that new ABC promo? EW.com’s Michael Ausiello has the surprising answer. PS – IGN TV thinks the secret show is Flash Forward.

This’ll get you even more excited about the June 8 fifth season premiere of Weeds: a commercial for “The University of Andy,” the school of thought by Weeds scene stealer Andy Botwin (Justin Kirk), where you can study such disciplines as Pleasing the Opposite Sex, Holding Your Liquor, Surviving Animal Attacks, Crazy Girls, Archery, Foreign Chicks, Daytime Television, Electrical Engineering, and, of course, TV/VCR Repair.
The Weeds cast is a stellar one, with Mary-Lousie Parker, Elizabeth Perkins and Kevin Nealon all Emmy-worthy, but I think the fact that Kirk hasn’t even received a nomination for his role as Andy is right up there with the inexplicable snubbing by the Emmy folk of Scrubs star John C. McGinley. It’s just kookie!
Check out the University of Andy clip, and I’ll see you in the checkout line when I’m snagging a U of A pennant.

HOORAY! We have our three winners:
Geraldine, Debbie E and Scooter McGavin! Congrats Weeds fans, and thanks for entering. Your awesome box sets will be on their way to your mailbox shortly. Enjoy, and thanks again for checking us out at TV Screener.com!
And everyone, keep checking our WIN THIS! section … we’ve got lots more TV goodies coming your way!
Weeds‘ fifth season kicks off on June 8 (10PM ET, Showtime) – and it’s a great episode, particularly for Celia and Andy fans – but season four just hit DVD, and thanks to the generous folks at Lionsgate Home Entertainment, TV Screener.com has three copies of the fantastic dramedy to give away.
Season four overview: Weeds queen Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) moves her fam to Ren Mar, a town on the San Diego/Tijuana border, after burning down her house and fleeing to avoid any drug connections. Of course, she sets up shop in her new hometown, which leads to some hubbub with the DEA, a cover job at a maternity shop, an affair with Tijuana mayor/drug lord Esteban (Demián Bichir) and … well, so as not to completely spoil it for those who haven’t caught up with the show yet, a very unexpected, life-saving surprise in the season finale.
And the rest of the Agrestic gang is in on the action, too, from hapless Doug (Kevin Nealon), who flees Agrestic to avoid questions about the town’s finances, to PTA mom from Hell Celia (Elizabeth Perkins), whose oldest daughter Quinn gets revenge on her mom for sending her to boarding school, to Nancy’s bro-in-law Andy (the so Emmy-worthy Justin Kirk), who starts a coyote business and discovers he may be in love.
And among the DVD set’s bonus features: audio commentary, a gag reel, featurettes including “The Weed Wranglers,” “‘Burbs to the Beach” and (my fave) “Tour of Bubbie’s House.” And if you have a Blu-ray player, spring for those discs, which also include extra commentaries by Kevin Nealon and the aforementioned, scene-stealing Justin Kirk.
So, how do you get your hands on one of the three Weeds season four box sets we have to give away? Just leave a comment on this post, with the name of your favorite Weeds character or quote and an e-mail address or Web/blog link way to reach you, and you may be a winner.

Good (pot) luck (ha!), Weeds fans!
The most pop culture-riffic comedy/mystery (comystery?) on the tube!
There’s a scene where (Da Maniac) takes a helmet out of his station wagon, and it has barbed wire all over it, and I inadvertently hit Charlie in the groin with it.
