ROYAL PAINS stars Mark Feuerstein as Hank Lawson, a young E.R. doctor who, after being wrongly blamed for a patient’s death, moves to the Hamptons and becomes the reluctant “doctor for hire” to the rich and famous. When the attractive administrator of the local hospital asks him to treat the town’s less fortunate, he finds himself walking the line between doing well for himself and doing good for others. The series also stars Paulo Costanzo, Jill Flint and Reshma Shetty.

Of USA’s original series, my favorite is “In Plain Sight.” Another favorite is “Law & Order : Criminal Intent,” which seems to go back and forth between being first shown on USA or being first shown on NBC. I also enjoy the syndicated episodes of “NCIS” shown on USA. “Royal Pains” will have its first episode later tonight, so maybe it will also become one of my favorites.

Seriously, I’m supposed to pick my favorite USA Network show? But.. but .. they’re all so good!!! I mean, ‘Monk’ is entering its last season and I will surely miss it when it’s gone. I can’t believe I have to wait until Aug 7th for ‘Psych’ (Why? Why?). I’m so excited to have ‘Burn Notice’ back with a new season starting tonight. I’m looking forward to checking out ‘Royal Pains’ – it is sure to be great. I’m calling it a tie between ‘Burn Notice’ and ‘Psych’!!!!

Burn Notice in terms of original shows, but House has my heart always.

My favorite USA series would be Burn Notice. Badasses – everyone on the show. Funny, too. Royal Pains, though, is a pretty close second.

Talkin’ With … ‘Wilfred’ Star Jason Gann About Season 2

Charlie Sheen, Russell Brand and Louis C.K. are getting most of the attention, but I’m most excited that one of the best new shows of last TV season — Wilfred — returns for its second season on FX tonight (10PM ET). Season one of the series ended with a cliffhanger — had Ryan (Elijah Wood) […]
