‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’: It’s Coming Live to a Theater Near (Maybe?) You!

I wrote earlier this month about the rumor that the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia would be doing more live performances of the season four finale episode “The Nightman Cometh,” and I am giddy to report that it’s more than rumor … there’s a whole line-up of live Sunny shows happening across the country in September, to celebrate the FX show’s season five premiere on Sept. 17.

The live show, which the cast performed at The Troubador in Los Angeles last April, will play in:

Boston, at the House of Blues, on Sept. 15
New York City, at the Beacon Theater, on Sept. 16
Upper Darby, PA (the near-Philly hometown of Tina Fey), at the Tower Theater, on Sept. 17
Seattle, at the Moore Theater, on Sept. 22
San Francisco, at the Nob Hill Masonic Center, on Sept. 24
And in Los Angeles, at the Hollywood Palladium, on Sept. 25

The NYC show also includes a preview of the season premiere episode, and tix for all the performances officially go on sale tomorrow, August 7.

So, who else is excited about this cool TV/theater experience?
