Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who is developing a new mother/daughter/sister drama for HBO, says she hasn’t given up on the idea of a Gilmore movie. Ohpleaseohpleaseohplease let it happen.

Justin Theroux is joining the cast of Parks and Recreation – a series that continues to grow on me this season – as a potential love interest for Amy Poehler‘s Leslie, while Poehler says her real-life hubby, Arrested Development star Will Arnett, may guest star on her show this season.

Chris Elliott will star in Cartoon Network’s upcoming live-action comedy Eagleheart, where he’ll play a has-been action movie actor who’s now starring on a TV series and making life heck for those around him.

– I’ve resisted all things vampire-related at the movies and on TV, but The Vampire Diaries does sound kinda guilty-pleasure fun, which may make The CW’s 10-episode Diaries marathon – the week of Dec. 14, two episodes a night – must-TiVo-TV.

– You loved mixed tapes, now you can make a mixed DVD, full of Adult Swim shows.

Sopranos alum Lorraine Bracco will play Angie Harmon‘s mom in TNT’s upcoming crime drama Rizzoli, which, surprisingly enough, is not taking place in the famous NYC bookstore.

– USA has signed a deal to keep WWE’s Raw on the network through 2014, even as Vince McMahon looks to launch his own WWE network.

– So you think you can cook? Gordon Ramsay is looking for wannabe chefs of every experience level to star with him on the Dec. 15 Fox special Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live.

– So you think you can dance your patootie off, literally? Oxygen is looking for contestants for season two of its weight loss/dance reality show Dance Your Ass Off.

– And tonight in primetime: Merry Madagascar (8PM ET, NBC) reunites the entire cast of the Madagascar movies, as they try to help an injury-plagued Santa and get themselves back to the Big Apple; The Prisoner remake miniseries wraps with back-to-back episodes (8 and 9PM, AMC); Ryan recruits people to help take on the Visitors on V (8PM, ABC); The Big Gunn, a.k.a. Tim Gunn, helps The Biggest Loser (8:30PM, NBC) contestants with makeovers; She’s back, and not a moment too soon to save this lame remake from itself: Heather Locklear brings Amanda Woodward to the new Melrose Place (9PM, The CW); John Mayer is live in concert on Fuse (9PM), as he celebrates the release of his new CD Battle Studies with a performance at the Beacon Theater in NYC (I’m so there); Just when SAMCRO averted the disaster of Jax leaving the club, another drama pops up: Opie finds out Tig’s secret on Sons of Anarchy (10PM, FX); and on The Hills (10Pm, MTV), Jayde and Kristin throw down when Jayde decides she wants to get back together with Brody.
