Ho, ho, holy crap, a lot of great TV-related swag has landed in the TVScreener.com mailbox this year. DVDs, books, video games, toys … honestly, it’s more than one girl, even a totally TV-lovin’ one, can hold. And that’s good news for you, because we’ve set aside some choice swag, added a few extra goodies to the mix, and have a list of 25 TV treats to fill your stockings.

Each day for the next 25 days (including weekends), TVScreener.com will list a new TV-related treat for giveaway. Each giveaway will run for a week, giving us plenty of time to pop ’em the mail for winners to receive before December 25. By the way, it’s called a Christmas giveaway because that’s what we celebrate in the TVScreener household, but, of course, we hope all holiday celebrants – Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Diwali, Chrismukkah, Festivus, etc. – will join in the fun. Free stuff is free stuff, people!

Among the goodies we’re giving away:

– A Sons of Anarchy Blu-ray DVD box set
– All four seasons of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on DVD
– Seinfeld
Monopoly
– Glee
soundtrack CDs
– Wii, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS TV tie-in games
– A Peanuts holiday specials DVD box set
– A Jack Bauer action figure
– Gift cards for TV-friendly treats like pizza and ice cream
– On Cyber Monday (Nov. 30), a giveaway so cool that it could totally make the Christmas morning of one Hannah Montana fan
– And lots, lots more!

All you’ll have to do to enter: Check back at TVScreener.com every day, from today, November 17, through December 11, and leave a comment on the giveaway posts, with your name, your all-time favorite holiday TV special, and an e-mail address where we can reach you, and you may be a winner. Check the deadline to enter for each day’s giveaway, as, again, each giveaway will run for a week.

Now, the fun part. To kick off the It’s a Very TVScreener.com Christmas 25-Day Giveaway, we’ve got a very appropriate DVD: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: It’s a Very Sunny Christmas. This direct-to-DVD release – it’s not airing on FX (and when you see it, you’ll know why) – finds The Gang celebrating the holidays as only they can, which means it involves a bloody Santa, a naked Frank, flashbacks to when Charlie, Mac, Dennis and Sweet Dee were kiddies and a surprisingly excited recipient of a Cabbage Patch Doll.

The hilarious story unfolds as Charlie and Mac try to plan a holiday celebration at Paddy’s, while Frank taunts Dee and Dennis with their dream gifts – which he buys for himself. We find out some interesting things about the Paddy’s crew’s past – suffice it to say we learn the origin of one of Charlie’s favorite recreational habits – and the whole thing wraps up with what, by Sunny measures, is actually kind of a sweet moment.

The DVD also includes deleted scenes with the young Charlie and Mac, a Sunny sing-a-long and a behind-the-scenes featurette. In short, though it’s all about Christmas, the Sunny special is more like a valentine to fans who love these crazy characters.

And to enter for a chance to win one of two copies of the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: It’s a Very Sunny Christmas DVD, remember:
– Leave a comment on this post, with your name, your all-time favorite holiday TV special and an e-mail address where we can reach you
– Deadline to enter to win a copy of the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: It’s a Very Sunny Christmas DVD is November 24 at 8PM ET (according to recorded comment time)
– The winner will be chosen by random, using Random.org’s Random Number Generator
– The winner will be announced on the evening of November 24, as an update to this post

Good luck, Sunny fans, and stay tuned for the rest of our It’s a Very TVScreener.com Christmas 25-Day Giveaway!

This show cracks me up. My favorite holiday special is The Grinch (Jim Carrey) version.

I know this is a Christmas giveaway thing, but I’m still assuming that the favorite holiday special applies to all holidays and am going with “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.”

I can’t decide, I like them all! I love watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade though, and both versions of How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

I just love the idea of something like a Halloween deity.

Always anticipate Psych (& to lesser extent Monk) Christmas episodes. Such a welcome treat when the show won’t return for months.

Charlie Sheen, Russell Brand and Louis C.K. are getting most of the attention, but I’m most excited that one of the best new shows of last TV season — Wilfred — returns for its second season on FX tonight (10PM ET). Season one of the series ended with a cliffhanger — had Ryan (Elijah Wood) […]
