It’s almost here, it’s almost here! The movie all the cool kids have been waiting for this summer, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, the Edgar Wright-directed adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley‘s Scott Pilgrim comic books, opens in theaters on Friday the 13th, and to celebrate, our very generous friends at Universal have given TVScreener.com an official Scott Pilgrim t-shirt and hat to give away to one very lucky reader.

As if you don’t know already, the deets: Scott Pilgrim (Arrested Development star Michael Cera) is a lovesick 22-year-old (and the bass player for Sex Bomb-omb) who meets the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), but finds out that he has to do battle with Ramona’s seven evil exes (The League of Evil Exes), before he can win Ramona’s heart.

And The League: They’re already coming to get Scott, in the form of Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel, the first evil ex; Chris Evans as Lucas Lee, the skateboarder-turned-movie star; Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram, a bass player for The Clash at Demonhead; Mae Whitman as Roxie Richter, Ramon’s ex-girlfriend and college roommate; Shota and Keita Saito as Kyle and Ken Katayanagi, twins who often finish each other’s sentences; and Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Gordon Graves, the leader of the League of Evil Exes.

Also starring: Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick as Scott’s sister Stacey, Ellen Wong as Knives, Scott’s ex, who’s still obsessed with him, and scene stealer Kieran Culkin as Scott’s BFF.

I would have said Inception if this was a couple of weeks ago, but The Other Guys was so great, it became my new favorite.

Just saw Scott Pilgrim – great film, but I have to agree that Inception is the film that has really stuck with me this summer.

The only movies I’ve seen these summer are kids movies! I would say Toy Story 3 was my favorite with Shrek in second place.

    Good luck everyone!!!

Scott Pilgrim was definitely my favorite! Michael Cera was a perfect Scott and the cast was just great all around.

    Good Luck, guys!

As awesome as Scott Pilgrim was, Inception is the best movie of the year so far.

I thought Inception was the best so far. Toy Story 3 and Scott Pilgrim are a tie for second.

just saw an early screening of Scott Pilgrim and it has EASILY won “best film of the year” for me, trumphing both Inception and The Expendables. They nailed the look and style of the characters as well as successfully condensing the plot without sacrificing too much

Saw Scott Pilgrim yesterday! Even though some went by quick, the jokes were very funny.

Wallace was portrayed dead on, but I just wished they went into some of the characters more.

Saw Scott Pilgrim for my birthday with my boyfriend and definitely was an awesome movie. Most definitely made my birthday even better and this movie has easily become one of my new favorite movies and it’s directed by Edgar Wright so it has to be good. The boyfriend and I can’t wait for it to come out on DVD. Plus, we just can’t get enough of Wallace. 😀
