Potts Picks: Today’s Best TV

10:30PM | A&E
Storage Wars
– Yeeeeeep! Though Dave Hester‘s trademark bid call makes me cringe, I’m happy that the network’s finally rolling out new episodes of the addictive Storage Wars. What is it that makes other people’s abandoned junk so fascinating? Probably the same reason we all stop at a yard sale: somewhere, in the irrational part of our brains, we all have those fantasies of finding a real Picasso for a dollar. Anyhoo, here’s hoping Darrell, Barry, Brandi and Jarrod manage to outbid the pot-stirring storage locker hound more often than not in the new batch of installments ahead.

American Idol
– The top 12 perform songs from the year they were born.

Survivor: Redemption Island
– There’s trouble brewing, or rather, exploding, in Camp Ometepe, while Matt and Kristina square off on Redemption Island.

Criminal Minds
– Prentiss out, as the BAU teamer takes on her nemesis Ian Doyle in Paget Brewster‘s final episode. Meanwhile, A.J. Cook returns as JJ, to help track down Prentiss, and co-star Matthew Gray Gubler directs the ep.

9:30PM | ABC
Mr. Sunshine
James Taylor guest stars as Crystal’s ex, who she tracks down for some closure on their anniversary.

Deathwish Movers
– The new series follows a moving company in Boston, one of the tougher cities to maneuver, which presents an extra challenge when, say, as in tonight’s episode, you’re trying to (carefully!) lift an antique piano 200-feet into the air, in strong, cold winds.

Face Off
– The finalists have to create fairy tale characters for a cocktail party to determine who will be the series’ first champion.

10PM | FX
– It’s all about thievin’, as Boyd and Ava are questioned about the mine robbery, while Raylan is on the case of a bank robbery in which Winona is trapped inside the bank.

Top Chef: All-Stars
– In the Bahamas, the chefs have to cook up some conch, but only after they catch it themselves.

Worth flipping to during commercials:
– The women work as teams to create retro coffee commercials on America’s Next Top Model (8PM, The CW);
Bobby tries to cook up the best fried green tomato BLT on Throwdown With Bobby Flay (8:30PM, Food Network);
– The couples battle to win their wedding rings on Shedding for the Wedding (9PM, The CW);
The West Wing Emmy winner Richard Schiff guest stars as FBI guy Jack Fickler on Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (10PM, CBS);
– Gonzo in the house! Trapper John, M.D. star Gregory Harrison guests on Hot in Cleveland (10PM, TV Land);
– The team springs into action during a hepatitis outbreak at a local prison on Off the Map (10PM, ABC);
– The roomies see a new, and not at all sane, side of Adam on The Real World (10PM, MTV).

And the late-night line-up:
Conan (11PM, TBS): Kaitlin Olson and Ricky Gervais;
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (11PM, Comedy Central): Trey Parker and Matt Stone (REPEAT);
The Colbert Report (11:30PM, Comedy Central): Joshua Foer (REPEAT);
The Late Show with David Letterman (11:35PM, CBS): Steve Martin and Selena Gomez;
The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (11:35PM, NBC): Matthew McConaughey;
Lopez Tonight (Midnight, TBS): Justin Timberlake (REPEAT);
Jimmy Kimmel Live (12:05AM, ABC): Adam Scott and Kristen Wiig;
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (12:35AM, NBC): Amy Poehler and Tiger Woods;
The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (12:37AM, CBS): Seth Rogen;
Last Call with Carson Daly (1:35AM, NBC): Matt & Kim.
