‘Glee,’ ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Dexter’ Big Golden Globes TV Winners

Last night’s big TV winners at the Golden Globes: Glee, Mad Men, Julianna Margulies, Toni Collette, John Lithgow, Alec Baldwin, Chloe Sevigny and Michael C. Hall. The Dexter star, who announced just a few days before the Globes that he was being treated for cancer, also gets my vote for best speech of the night … short, sweet and sincere.

And here’s my rundown at Moviefone.com of the rest of the best and worst moments from the show.

The Ricky Gervais-hosted kudosfest, by the way, was up 14 percent vs. the ratings from last year’s show … was it the anticipation of Gervais hosting, or maybe viewers seeking some glitz and glamour diversion from the heartbreaking news coming out of Haiti all week?

Probably a bit of both, but what did you think of Gervais as host? I thought he was his usual silly, snarky, fun self, and that he probably did the best job anyone could have done with an event that seemed destined to be lower-key than in years past.
